South African White Shark Research Institute

The South African White Shark Research Institute is a non profit Organisation . The Institute does not receive Government funding and subsequently have to generate all necessary income from other alternative avenues.

Raising funds to continue protecting , conserving and researching the Great White Shark is one of the most difficult tasks we are facing today.

In most peoples view , the only good shark is a dead shark, this view is mostly due to ignorance. People simply do not know the great importance of the survival of the sharks in our oceans. Without the predators an imbalance of the Eco system will eventually occur and subsequently our oceans will slowly die. We believe that everyone out there all around the world have to share the responsibility in helping conserve our fragile environment before it is too late, and YOU can really make a difference. It generates desperately needed funding ,at the same time as we get the opportunity to reach out to the world with important information. Our members and adoption parents are our most important resource and the sharks best ambassadors.
